About this event [ March 18th, 2022 ]

Many recent environmental disasters and industrial land use in California have cast toxic pollutants into our air, but the history of struggles over California air go back decades. Our March panel will explore the history of air pollution and will discuss policies to address it, including mitigation measures for reducing pollution from various industry sectors, and will look at what these policies mean for communities most impacted by low air quality and toxic pollutants. It will also explore the relationship between our built environment and human health and will address pressing questions about the ethics of repair and recovery.
